IFEX India 2012
2 – 4 March 2012
Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC)
Bangalore, India
Welcome to the Presentation of the Federal Republic
of Germany.
The IFEX 2012 is the exclusive forum for the foundry industry in India.
It is THE essential showcase for foundry machinery manufacturers as well as
related products, services and technologies.
The friendly relationship between Germany and the Republic of India
has a long tradition. This contains both, personal as well as business
relationships.
The step by step opening and liberalisation of the
Indian economy leads to an increasing dynamic development of the Indian market
and thus, the foreign trade. For the last 10 years India has had, on average, an
annual growth of 7 percent and belongs herewith to the fastest growing national
economies in the world.
From the German capital goods manufacturers' point of
view the Republic
of India is a very
important market. The bilateral trade volume between India and Germany amounts
to 15 billion Euro
in 2011.The German
exports of machinery to India increased in 2010 by approximately 20% to 3.1 billion Euro compared to 2009 and are thus back on pre-crisis level.
Casting is a modern
production technology that has a stake in the future: new processes and
materials continuously extend the feasibility limits. Flexibility and
productivity in the casting process as well as high casting quality are
essential prerequisites nowadays. Process reliability and, in particular,
environmental performance are factors of crucial interest in determining the
viability of processes. The new foundry process technologies compete with other
manufacturing processes and non-cast products. Efficient process automation
systems can help increase process reliability, productivity and flexibility. An
appropriate overall concept is the prerequisite for energy efficient production
processes including state-of-the-art components that can also be switched off
when not needed. The incorporation of computer-based design methods, stress
analyses via FEM, simulations of casting processes and rapid prototyping
provides safety at an early stage in the development processes.
Customers with global
operations require full-service, ranging from professional advice to worldwide
technical customer support from their - typically - medium-sized foundry
technology provider. Thus more and more companies are developing from component
suppliers to full-service system partners. Right from the initial customer
inquiry or the first design stages for a new product, holistic solutions for
production and the whole plant life cycle play an important role in today's
competitive environment.
Within the
scope of the official German participation, a total of 11 German companies participate in
IFEX 2012,
presenting their latest technical developments to the Indian specialists. The
large number of participating companies underlines the importance of the Indian
market to the German capital goods industry.
On behalf of all German exhibitors, the Federal
Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), the Association of German Trade
Fair Industry (AUMA) and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) you are
cordially invited to visit the Official German Presentation at IFEX 2012 in Hall 2, Booth F
